FAQ’s
Where are you based and what area do you cover?
I’m based in York and cover the whole of Yorkshire. However, I frequently work around the UK and even Europe, so do get in touch if you’re further afield.
What equipment do you use and do you bring a backup?
I use a Canon 5D Mark III with Prime lens’ but always carry a backup camera just in case.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, I have full public liability insurance, along with cover for all of my equipment.
How long will you stay at our wedding?
A full day package usually covers around 10 hours, starting with the bridal group getting ready and ending around half an hour after the first dance. Saying that no one will be running a stopwatch so we can make it work to suit you.
How many wedding photos do we receive?
I usually take around 2500 shots across the whole day and after the editing process, you’ll receive between 400-600. If you choose the photographer and videographer package, we’ll also take around four hours of footage and edit this into a lovely 10–12-minute video. We even include some romantic 8mm vintage footage as well.
Will our photos come on a USB and can I print them at home?
Once the imagery is ready (around six weeks for photos and ten weeks for photos and video) you’ll receive a USB containing all of your photos in a large file format. These are watermark free and ready to use as you wish.
What if it rains on our wedding day?
Speaking from experience this doesn’t have to dictate your day and we can usually grab ten minutes here and there outside to get some gorgeous shots. Any clouds will only add to the romance and drama.
Do you take group photos?
It’s important to capture some photos with all of your friends and family, but often it’s the shots taken in-between that make for the happiest memories. You don’t need to worry about spending all afternoon calling people over for photos either; around ten group shots is usually a good number to aim for and I would allow at least three minutes for each.
Do we need to feed you on the day?
Weddings can make for a long day so food is greatly appreciated.
Can we order prints and albums from you?
Of course. I use Folio to create bespoke, fine art albums and Loxley Colour for exquisite prints.
